IGN Wii has posted their guide to the launch of the Nintendo Wii in Japan tomorrow!

The Wii package is a bit different in Japan. It includes the following:

  • Wii system
  • Wii remote control w/strap
  • Nunchuck
  • AC Adapter
  • AV Cable
  • Wii Stand
  • Wii Stand Support Plate
  • Sensor
  • Sensor Bar Stand
  • Two batteries

Wii Sports is being sold separately. The sports compilation is one of the most heavily advertised game in Japan now, so Nintendo is clearly expecting to push a lot of units.Nintendo has a full set of accessories launching with the Wii, including (gulp!) component cables. Here’s what will be available on launch day and to come:

  • AC Adapter (RVL-002): 3,000 yen
  • AV Cable (RVL-009): 1,000 yen
  • S-Video Cable (RVL-010): 2,500 yen
  • Component Cable (RVL-011): 2,500 yen
  • D Cable (RVL-012): 2,500 yen (available 12/9)
  • SD Memory Card (RVL-020): 3,800 yen
  • LAN Adapter (RVL-015): 2,800 yen (available December)

Extra Wiimotes (RVL-A-CW, 3,800 yen) and Nunchucks (RVL-A-FW, 1,800 yen) will be available at launch, along with the Classic Controller (RVL-A-RW, 1,800 yen). Not getting Wii Sports in the package may seem like a bum deal, but Nintendo Japan does have some bargains. Nintendo will be shipping out point cards in 1,000, 3,000 and 5,000 yen values. The 5,000 yen card will include a Classic Controller. An even better value can be found with Hajimete no Wii. The Japanese version of Wii Play includes a Wiimote, essentialy making the Hajimete no Wii content cost 10 bucks.
